The Grand Rapids Crew Juniors soccer club serves the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area, providing an opportunity for young soccer players to participate on soccer teams that play at the select, premier (state), regional (midwest), and national level. All teams are formed from open tryouts, and cover the age groups from Under 8 to Under 18, in both Boys and Girls divisions. Tryouts for most teams occur in June on a schedule that is determined primarily by league rules, with teams being formed for a period of one year.
The GR Crew Juniors soccer club (formerly GRASA and Grand Valley Premier) was formed over 20 years ago when the founders identified the need to offer children a venue to learn sportsmanship, teamwork and gain a sense of achievement. Their initial efforts resulted in the registering of around 60 children from the greater Grand Rapids community. From those humble beginnings, we have evolved into a major non-profit (501c3) community sports organization of over 1200 children and their families. Soccer itself has also evolved from a "foreign" sport into an integral part of the lives of millions of children across America.
In response to the continued growth of our Club, we have secured the use of the beautiful, state-of-the-art MVP Fieldhouse facility in Grand Rapids. MVP Fieldhouse is part of our continuing commitment to provide our community’s children with a rewarding soccer experience.
