97 Younger State Team Wins ODP Regional Tournament
July 22, 2010

At the ODP regional camp at Kansas City, the 97 younger Michigan state ODP team went undefeated and dominated most games.  They tied only one game against Ohio North, whom they met again in the championship game to win 2-0.

Three GR Crew Junior players were very instrumental in the 5 day series.  In the top row 3rd player from the left is Jager Kukowski.  As starting keeper he allowed only 1 goal against.  The seated player 2nd from the right is Delano Capobianco, and next to him 3rd player from the right is Lucas Rosendall.

Eight Michigan players were invited to attend regional team hold over training for five more days, including Jager Kukowski and Delano Capobianco. The boys will be notified in the upcoming weeks if they made the regional team. Congratulations and best of luck.

Kosti Moni Peter Brown

Recently, six of our U14 boys attended Regional Camp at the beautiful Overland Park Soccer Complex in Kansas. Peter Brown, Delano Capobianco, Landon Chamberlain, Connor Davison, Kosti Moni, and Jared Timmer trained with Regional Coaches and were exemplary representatives of the Grand Rapids Crew Juniors Soccer Club! Two players have been asked to attend the National Identification Camp for U14 boys.

Kosti Moni and Peter Brown were chosen to be part of the National Player Pool. They will go to Concorde, Massachusettes on August 1 where they will receive instruction and play matches for a week, while being watched, evaluated and directed by U.S. Soccer’s National Staff and Coaches. Good Luck Peter and Kosti!
