Matt Roberts

Matt is a product of a successful youth soccer career. He was a varsity player for Noblesville, IN, High School for four years, and he played club soccer for Noblesville Rowdies and Carmel United before moving on to Indianapolis United, helping this group win two state cups (U17 and U18). He then went on to play for Aquinas College’s Men’s team for four years, making Captain and All-Conference in 2001.

You may have read about Matt’s two years as Forest Hills Eastern Boys’ Varsity Team from 2004 to 2005, leading them to the State title game in 2005 and being voted by his peers as the 2005 MHSSCA Coach of the Year. He then returned to his alma mater in 2006 to be the Assistant Men’s Coach at Aquinas College. Matt has been coaching in West Michigan for 12 years and has coached at dozens of camps and clinics around the area.

Matt is now a Premier Staff Coach and the Youth Academy Director with the Grand Rapids Crew Juniors as well as the Girls Varsity Assistant at Grandville High School.

Matt holds his NSCAA Regional, NSCAA Advanced Regional, and NSCAA National coaching licenses. He is also an NSCAA Ambassador, a role which entails spreading passion and pride for the beautiful game throughout the country.

Matt is also the Camp Director for 3 Lions Soccer Academy here in West Michigan.
