Lewis was born in Newcastle, England, and came to the United States several years ago. He started his soccer career playing on the Trimdon United youth teams, and then went on to play for Shildon AFC, in the English Northern Semi-Professional League. Upon coming to the US, Lewis played four years for Davenport University.

As for official qualifications, Lewis has many, including earning the English Football Association Level 1, USSF D license and, and the English Football Association Sportsmark Gold Level 1 License for coaching youth football. Lewis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a BTEC Distinction National Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science.

Lewis was a club coach for Trimdon Untied FC, East Durham College and was the youth team coach for Shildon AFC. Lewis has coached for various clubs in West Michigan including the Georgetown Rangers, CATS, and Alliance He is now a full time club coach for the Grand Rapids Crew Juniors, Head Women’s Varsity Coach at Grandville high school, and Academy Director at the 3 Lions Soccer Academy.
