Laurie Wilson-Treasurer

Laurie first got involved with GRASA in 1996, when her oldest son joined the club as a U11 player. She has been a Team Manager and/or on the GRASA/GRCJ board in a variety of roles since 2000. She is currently Treasurer for the club.

Laurie, her husband Craig and their three sons brought TOPSoccer, a soccer league for mentally and/or physically challenged kids, to the Grand Rapids area in 2000 and was very involved until 2006. Many coaches and players from GRASA were involved, as well as the MVP Sports Spot.

Wilsons have three sons, all of whom played for GRASA or GVP for many years. Two of them have already graduated from college, and their youngest is in his second year at Butler University. His soccer career led him to becoming a kicker and punter for the football team in high school, and he is still kicking today for Butler.

Laurie’s favorite times are those spent with her family, being at their cottage in the summer, tutoring for GRPS and walking around Reeds Lake whenever she can. Other than that, she can usually be found keeping the books for our wonderful soccer club!
