The U15 Boys MRL team, coached by Joey Barone, won the Cincinnati Spring Thaw Tournament on March 20 and 21 by defeating the Cincinnati Kings Academy MRL team 5-0 in the final. The team went undefeated in group play with two wins (one against a MRL team) and a tie (against an MRL team) before putting together an impressive performance in the final. Coach Barone was pleased with the final effort. "We had a tremendous first game against a very strong FC Blast Ohio (MRL) and then were a bit inconsistent in the rest of group play. We then put together a complete game in the final by displaying great intensity and tactical awareness as we beat another very strong MRL team that went undefeated in group play as well. I am pleased with the progress of the team and optimistic that they can achieve something special if they become more consistent."
