U 12 boys Gold
The U12 Gold team, coached by Joey Barone, played in the Michigan Challenge Cup u13 division and finished undefeated with two wins and two ties in a round robin group with no final. The boys took second place and benefited from the experience of playing 11 v 11 for the first time.
Everyone contributed as they scored 14 goals and gave up 5. No goals were given up on the last two games.
They look forward to the start of practice and the upcoming Crew Cup.
U 10 girls Gold
The U10 Girls Gold Team had a great weekend at the Michigan Challenge Cup. The girls played up an age group in the U11 Silver division, and took the championship with a 3-0 win over Vardar East in the finals. The final was a rematch from last year where the girls lost in PK’s to the same team in the final. Congratulations on a great first win as a new team!
U 14 girls Gold MRL
The U14 Girls MRL started the season strong at the Hawks Friendlies in Novi. They started strong against local rivals GrandRapids Hawks with a 6-0 victory. Next they played the U15 Hawks Premier Team and struggled in the beginning of the game. The girls had to work through new teammates and Coach Frankland's new formation. They played hard and pulled out a 1-0 victory. They ended the weekend facing the defending Regional and State Champion U14 Hawks. After falling behind 1-0, the girls showed tremendous heart and pulled out a 2-1 victory. Congrats to Coach Frankland and the girls for a successful start to the season.
