The GRCJ U9 Girls Gold team won 4 solid victories to secure the GR Crew Cup Championship! Playing in the U9 Worldcup division they had fun with a great soccer weekend in perfect weather.

The first game Friday was a "friendly" match against the GRCJ U9 Black team.  Although the Gold team won with a final score of 8-2, it was a bitter sweet victory playing against last years teammates and friends.  Saturdays game against South West MI - U9 Blue team gave them another 12-1 win.

The final prelim game against Dexter SC was just a practice run as both teams were guaranteed a spot in the Finals.  Competition was good but in the end the GRCJ girls took a 6-1 win.  With the 2nd match up of the teams in the Finals both teams battled hard with matching goals thru the first half.  But in the end the GRCJ Gold team pulled ahead for a final score of 6-2 to secure the Championship.
